Physical Therapist Assistant
Immediate opening for a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy practice in Buford and Lawrenceville, GA. We are seeking individuals who enjoy working and providing excellent care to their patients. Great learning opportunity for new graduates. Mentoring available. Summary: Administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries or illnesses, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by performing the following duties.
Essential Responsibilities: Reviews Physical Therapy Evaluations and plan of care along with Physician's referral and self-referral patients for the patient's condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required. Tests and measures the patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise a treatment program. Plans and prepares a written treatment program based on the Physical Therapist's evaluation of patient data.
Administers manual exercises to improve and maintain function. Instructs, motivates, and assists the patient to perform various physical activities and in the use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. Administers treatments involving the application of physical agents. Evaluates the effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Confers with the Physical Therapist, Physician, and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in the treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's healthcare. Orients, instructs, and directs work activities of assistants and aides.
Other duties as assigned.

We have immediate openings at our Suwanee location for a full-time/part-time front desk position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working and is a pleasure to work with. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a healthcare facility and possess excellent communication skills. Fluency in written and oral English is required, and knowledge of spoken Spanish is preferable.
Responsibilities for this position include scheduling appointments, registering patients, maintaining clinic operations, verifying insurance, and other administrative duties. Strong computer skills are a must.
